What Is the Age Limit?
The age limits are different for all the posts. To check if you are eligible, your age will be calculated as of July 1, 2026. Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories.
- SC / ST: Age relaxation of 5 years.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): Age relaxation of 3 years.
- PwBD: Age relaxation of 10 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation of 5 years.
- Persons Affected by 1984 Riots: Age relaxation of 5 years.
What Is the Application Fee?
Candidates must pay the required application fee online using approved methods like Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Net Banking, IMPS, or UPI. It is very important to note that once the fee is paid, it cannot be refunded under any circumstances.

What Is the Selection Process?
The bank will select candidates for these roles using different tests that depend on the post level and number of applicants. The selection process may include an online exam, a group discussion, other skills tests, and finally a personal interview.
Online Examination Structure
If the bank conducts a written test, the exam pattern will change based on the post category:
- Specialist Officers (Post Codes S01–S108): You will have to answer 50 MCQs about your professional field. The test is out of 100 marks and lasts for 60 minutes.
- General Banking Officers (Post Codes G01–G19): You will take a 120-minute paper with 125 total questions (175 marks). It includes QA (25 questions), Reasoning (25 questions), English Language (25 questions), and Professional Knowledge (50 questions).
Important Exam Rules
- Qualifying Subjects: Marks scored in Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, and English will not be included in your final ranking. You only need to pass them to get selected for the next stage.
- Negative Marking: There is a penalty for wrong answers. You will lose 25% of the question’s marks for every incorrect choice.
- Passing Score: General and EWS candidates must score at least 40%, while the passing score for candidates from reserved categories is at least 35%.
Personal Interview (100 Marks)
Candidates who clear the initial rounds will be called for a personal interview in a 1:3 ratio against the available seats.
- To pass the interview, General and EWS candidates need at least 50 marks.
- Reserved category candidates need a minimum of 45 marks.
Final Merit List
The final list of selected candidates is made by adding up your marks from the online test and the interview. If two candidates score exactly the same marks, the older person gets preference on the merit list.
Union Bank Recruitment 2026: Document Requirements
If your application is shortlisted for the interview, you must bring some necessary documents with you. Kindly note that your appointment letters, monthly salary slips, or salary certificate will not be accepted as proof of your past work history.
- Call Letter & Form: A printed copy of your interview call letter and your submitted online application form.
- Age Proof: Your Birth Certificate or 10th standard school certificate showing your date of birth.
- Photo ID: A valid government photo ID card like a PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, and others. It must be noted that ration cards and learner’s driving licenses are not accepted.
- Degrees: Your original marks sheets and certificates for all your educational qualifications.
- Caste & Category Certificates: SC, ST, or OBC candidates must bring these. OBC certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2026. EWS candidates must bring an Income and Asset Certificate based on the 2025–26 financial year.
- Disability & Scribe Papers: PwBD candidates must bring a formal disability certificate in the required format. If you used exam help, you need to bring a scribe declaration form if you used exam help.
- Work Proof: An experience certificate signed by your past employers that details your exact joining dates, posts held, and duties. If you are currently working in a government job or bank, you must secure an NOC.
- Military Discharge: Ex-servicemen applicants need to submit their discharge book or pension payment order at the time of the interview.

- You can only apply for a single job post. If you submit multiple applications for a single post, this can lead to cancellation.

- Applicants who are currently working for Union Bank of India can still apply. They must submit their application form through the proper channel. If they get selected, they must resign from their old post and join the bank’s service again.
- Newly selected candidates will have to serve a compulsory probation period of 2 years of active service after joining.
