HAL Executive Recruitment 2026: Key Rules

Job Postings & Transfers

  • Design Posts: Selected Design candidates will be posted at any HAL Design Centre across India.
  • Finance Posts: Finance candidates can be posted at any Division, R&D Centre, or Office.
  • Transfers: All posts are subject to transfers based on organizational needs.

Reservation & Disability (PwBD) Rules

  • Distribution: PwBD reservations are distributed across all categories (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, UR).
  • Eligibility: Candidates must have a minimum of 40% of an identified disability to qualify.
  • Disability Types: Identified disabilities include Visual, Hearing, Locomotor, and Multiple Disabilities.
  • Mandatory Entry: You must declare your type of disability in the online application.
  • Proof: A valid Disability Certificate in the prescribed format must be submitted.

Course Type Restrictions

  • Relevance: Work experience must be relevant to the post and strictly in an executive cadre.
  • Verification: You must provide proof of experience during document verification.

What Is the Age Limit?

The maximum age limit depends on the job grade you are applying for.

  • For Grade II, the upper age limit is 35 years for UR and EWS candidates. 
  • For higher positions (Grade III or Grade IV), the maximum age limit increases to 45 years for UR and EWS categories.
  • Your exact age will be calculated as of the last date for submitting online applications (August 12, 2026).
  • Age relaxation of 5 years is available for SC and ST candidates.
  • Age relaxation of 3 years is available for OBC (NCL) candidates.
  • Age relaxation of 10 years is available for PwBD candidates.
  • Candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 1980 and 1989 get a 5-year relaxation.
  • Age relaxation for ex-servicemen and serving Armed Forces officers is based on the company rules.
  • Candidates from reserved categories applying for UR seats get zero age relaxation benefits.
  • Maximum age after all relaxations cannot cross 56 years for PwBD or 55 years for others. 

HAL Recruitment 2026: Salary and Allowance Details

Candidates applying for these 30 roles must know that the basic pay scale varies based on the job grade you get selected for.

  • Grade II officers start on a pay scale of INR 50,000 to INR 1,60,000.
  • Grade III officers’ pay scale ranges from INR 60,000 to INR 1,80,000.
  • The pay scale for Grade IV officers ranges from INR 70,000 to INR 2,00,000.
  • Your starting pay will grow based on a fixed annual increment of 3%.
  • Apart from the basic pay, selected candidates also receive allowances, including Variable Dearness Allowance, HRA, and special Cafeteria System benefits worth 35% of your basic pay. 

Important Note: 

Selected candidates will have to sign a legal agreement to serve HAL for 3 years. Breaking the contract costs INR 5,00,000 or 6 months of basic pay plus allowance. Newly hired candidates must complete 2 weeks of academy training and 1 week of field learning.

What Is the Application Fee?

  • General, OBC, and EWS applicants must pay a non-refundable fee of INR 500.
  • Candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories do not have to pay any application fee.
  • Online fees must be paid via SBI Collect using netbanking, cards, or UPI.
  • Submitting your form without the correct fee will result in automatic rejection.

What Is the Selection Process?

Those applying for these HAL Executive roles must know that the selection depends on a personal Interview. There will be no written test. The company will first review all online applications to filter candidates based on basic age, qualification, and other factors. If your profile passes the initial review, you will be called for the interview. You must bring original certificates and required documents for the interview.

  • Only executive-level experience counts toward eligibility.
  • Direct government contract jobs count, but third-party contractor roles are rejected.
  • A maximum of 10 candidates will be called per open seat.
  • Priority goes to relevant experience, then exam marks, and finally older candidates.
  • The interview will test your job knowledge, general awareness, and overall personality.
  • Meeting the basic eligibility rules does not guarantee an interview invite.
  • Shortlisted candidates’ updates will be posted on the website, and selected names will get an email alert about the interview date details.

What Are the Documents Needed?

  • Scanned Images: Clear digital copies of your passport photo under 100 KB and signature under 50 KB in JPG format.
  • Academic Proofs: Semester-wise or year-wise original mark sheets detailing your educational qualifications.
  • Work Records: Complete previous employment details along with comprehensive summaries for your calculated experience.
  • Caste and Health Proofs: SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or Disability certificates must be shown during the interview stage.
  • Employment Clearances: A formal NOC issued directly by your current Government or PSU employer.
  • Upload Rule: No physical certificates need to be uploaded online during the initial registration process.

How to Apply? 

  • Firstly, you have to visit the official website and find the active registration link under the dedicated Careers Section. 
  • Next, you have to correctly fill out your details and upload your photo. Then, a Unique Application Number will be generated.
  • Then, you have to fill out personal, qualification, PPQE, and other details.
  • Applicants from SC, ST, and PwBD categories don’t have to pay the application fee to complete registration. They simply need to print out and securely keep it for verification during the interview.
  • UR, EWS, and OBC candidates must pay the required application fee.
  • Then, they must wait for 48 to 72 hours for payment validation and the application form, and then print out the form.
  • Submitting multiple forms for the same post cancels your earlier profiles, and you don’t get a fee refund.
