Vacancy Details (Quota & Category-wise)

A total of 91 vacancies are divided into two distinct structural quotas. Reserved benefits apply strictly to bona fide Himachali candidates.

1. PACS Quota (74 Vacancies)

This quota is reserved exclusively for Trained Secretaries of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies of HP.

2. OCS Quota (17 Vacancies)

This quota is reserved for Employees of Other Cooperative Societies and PACS employees not covered as Trained Secretaries.

HPSCB Junior Clerk Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit & Relaxations

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Allowed Birth Window: Candidates must be born between 02-01-1981 and 01-01-2008 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation Policy (For Bonafide Himachalis Only):

• SC / ST / OBC of HP: 5 years relaxation (Maximum age up to 50 years)
• Ward of Freedom Fighter (WFF) of HP: 5 years relaxation
• Physically Handicapped (PwBD): 5 years relaxation (Requires a minimum of 40% disability)
• EWS of HP: As per standard HP Government norms
• Ex-Servicemen: Maximum relaxation allowed is 12 years. The present age must be under 58 years at the time of joining.

Stage 1: Online Examination (150 Marks)

The exam features objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), available in both English and Hindi.

• Total Duration: 150 Minutes (2.5 Hours) Note: There is no separate sectional time limit.
• Negative Marking: NO negative marking for wrong answers.
• Qualifying Cut-off: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks (60 out of 150) to be considered for shortlisting.

Section-wise Syllabus Breakdown:

Stage 2: Document Verification / Scrutiny

Call Ratio: Candidates up to 1.75 times the number of vacant posts will be called for document verification based on their online test scores.

Tie-Breaking Policy: If two candidates get equal marks:

• First preference is given to the candidate with higher academic qualifications.
• Second preference is given to the candidate who belongs to the State of H.P.

Scanning Prerequisites Before Filling out the Form:

• Photograph: 4.5 cm × 3.5 cm (20–50 KB, JPG format)
• Signature: Signed with black ink on white paper (10–20 KB, JPG). Note: Signatures in CAPITAL letters are rejected.
• Left Thumb Impression: On white paper using blue or black ink (20–50 KB, JPG).
• Handwritten Declaration: Written in English with black ink on white paper (50–100 KB, JPG).

Steps to Apply:

1. Go to the official bank website: www.hpscb.bank.in.
2. Click on the “APPLY ONLINE” tab, then select “Click here for New Registration”.
3. Fill in basic details (Name, Mobile, Email) to generate your Provisional Registration Number and Password.
4. Log in and fill in all your personal, educational, category, and cooperative experience details. Click “Save & Next” as you proceed.
5. Upload your scanned photograph, signature, thumb impression, and declaration document. Capture a live webcam photo if prompted.
6. Click on the “Preview Tab” to double-check every field. Once satisfied, click “COMPLETE REGISTRATION” (No changes can be made after this).
7. Proceed to the payment tab and complete your application fee payment online using a Debit/Credit card, Net banking, or Mobile wallets.
8. Download and save your payment e-Receipt and a full printout of the submitted Application Form.

Important Certificates Required for Verification

Here are some important documents that candidates must gather: 

• Graduation degree certificate and year-wise mark sheets.
• Matriculation (10th) and 10+2 mark cards (acting as age and state schooling proof).
• Validated Experience Certificate: Issued by the concerned Inspector of Society and countersigned by the Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies of H.P. 
• Bonafide Himachali Certificate (Required for all reservation claims).
• Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/WFF/IRDP) issued by a competent authority.
• OBC candidates: Must provide a fresh Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificate.
• EWS candidates: Must show an Income & Asset Certificate verifying family income is below ₹4 Lakhs per annum.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) and a Good Character Certificate from the current employer if the candidate is already working in regular/confirmed service.

• Job Probation: Successful candidates will be placed on a probation period of two years, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years based on performance.
• Location of Posting: Selected Junior Clerks are liable to be posted anywhere in the operational areas of H.P. State Cooperative Bank in Himachal Pradesh.
