Who Can Apply for HP Police Constable Recruitment 2026
Interested candidates need to confirm they meet the following eligibility conditions before applying for this recruitment:
- Education: Applicants must have passed the 10th and 12th classes from a recognized board. You don’t need a college degree for the Constable (GD) post.

Rules for Male Candidates
- Male candidates from the General category must be at least 168 cm tall, while SC, ST, and hill categories must be at least 162 cm.
- During the fitness test, they must run 1500 meters within 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
- They complete a 100-meter sprint in 14 seconds (no extra attempts are allowed).
- For the high jump, they must clear 1.35 meters.
- For the broad jump, they must clear 4 meters. Candidates get a maximum of three attempts for the jumps.
Rules for Female Candidates
- Female candidates from the General category must be at least 155 cm tall. SC and ST candidates must be at least 150 cm tall.
- All female candidates must weigh at least 45 kg.
- During the fitness test, women must run 800 meters within 3 minutes and 45 seconds.
- They must complete a 100-meter sprint in 17 seconds. No extra attempts are allowed for these races.
- For the high jump, they must clear at least 1.10 meters.
- For the broad jump, they must clear 3 meters. Candidates get a maximum of three attempts for both jumps.
