HP High Court Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must make sure they meet the following qualification and work history requirements before submitting their applications: 

  1. Librarian Requirements

  • You must hold a Graduation degree along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Library Science
  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Library Science can also apply.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Library Attendant or higher in a reputed organization is mandatory.
  • Peon Requirements

  • You must have passed your Class 10 exam from a recognized school board.
  1. Mali Requirements

  • You must have cleared your Class 10 exam. 
  • You also need at least 3 years of experience working in gardening or landscaping.
  1. Cook-cum-Attendant Requirements

  • You must have passed Class 10. 
  • You must possess at least 3 years of cooking experience in a government undertaking or a reputed hotel.

High Court Recruitment 2026: Age Limit & Relaxations

The selection panel will calculate your age based on your status as of January 01, 2026:

  • General & EWS Applicants: You must be between 18 and 45 years old.
  • Reserved Categories of HP: SC, ST, OBC, and Disabled applicants receive a 5-year upper-age relaxation. So, they can apply up to 50 years of age.
  • HP Government Employees: They are eligible to apply up to 50 years of age under the state relaxation rules.

HP High Court Recruitment 2026: Application Fees

All candidates need to pay the application fee online. The application fee varies for applicants from different categories:

  • General / Unreserved (UR) Category: INR 450 per application.
  • Reserved Categories of HP (SC, ST, OBC, EWS): INR 300 per application.
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) Categories of HP: INR 300 per application.

Note: It must be noted that the fee amount includes applicable GST and is completely non-refundable under all conditions. 

HP High Court Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The selection rules are different for different categories.

  1. For Librarian (Group-C Post)

  • Competitive Written Exam: The final selection is based entirely on the marks you score in a competitive written exam. The merit list will be based purely on this test result.
  1. For Group-D Posts (Peon, Mali, Cook-cum-Attendant)

No direct interview or test will be conducted for these posts. Candidates will be shortlisted for document checking in a 1:3 ratio. The final merit list will be prepared based on matriculation marks and evaluation performance.

  1. Evaluation Criteria (15 Marks)
  • Backward Area/Panchayat Resident: 1 mark.
  • Landless Family/Owning less than 1 hectare: 2 marks.
  • Non-Employment Certificate (No family member in Govt. or Semi-Govt. service): 2.5 marks.
  • Disabled Persons (More than 40% impairment): 1 mark.
  • NSS (Minimum 1 year) / NCC / Scouts & Guides / National Sports Medalist: 1 mark.
  • BPL Family (Annual income below INR 40,000 or state limits): 2.5 marks.
  • Widow / Divorced / Destitute / Single Woman: 1 mark.
  • Single Daughter / Orphan: 1.5 marks.
  • Relevant Government Job Experience: Maximum 2.5 marks (0.5 marks awarded for each completed year of service, up to 5 years maximum).

Step 2: Next, you have to click on the HC-Advt./2026 (3) recruitment link.

Step 3: Create a candidate profile, verify your email ID and mobile number.

Step 4: Fill in your personal details, parent names, and other details exactly as they appear on your records.

Step 5: Enter your educational history for Class 10 and other degrees.

Step 6: Then, you have to upload your scanned photograph, signature, age proof, and social certificates matching the official size limits.

Key Points to Note for Applicants

  • The court will send all official exam venue updates, admit card download dates, and tracking links through SMS alerts and registered emails. No physical paper letters will be sent by mail.
  • If you are currently a regular employee in a Government department, you must submit your form online through the proper channel. You must submit an NOC from your employer and send this NOC within 15 days after the final application closing date. Casual wagers, daily wagers, and contract staff don’t need to submit an NOC.
  • All reservation, income, and category certificates must be completely valid on the day you submit your online form and during physical verification. Uploading an expired paper will cause the system to automatically move you to the UR category.
  • Re-checking or re-evaluation of exam answer sheets at any stage of the recruitment process is not allowed.
