ESIC MH Baddi Recruitment 2026: Vacancy and Salary Details

ESIC Model Hospital is hiring for 13 specialists, 33 senior residents, and 1 super specialist in cardiology on a contract basis. Candidates will be hired for these roles for 1 year initially. Based on performance and hospital approval, the contract can be extended for three years. 

Full-Time / Part-Time Specialist (13 Posts)

• Total Open Seats: 13 vacancies (UR:06, OBC:03, SC:02, ST: 01, EWS: 01).
• Departments Available: Obstetrics & Gynaecology (3 seats), Medicine (2 seats), and 1 seat each in Pediatrics, Radiology, Psychiatry, Skin, Surgery, ICU, Accident & Emergency, and Chest/Pulmonary Medicine.

Senior Resident (29 Posts)

• Total Open Seats: 29 vacancies (OBC:10, UR:09, SC:05, EWS:03, ST: 02).
• Departments Available: Anaesthesia & Critical Care (7 seats), Obstetrics & Gynaecology (4 seats), Orthopaedics (4 seats), Paediatrics (3 seats), Surgery (3 seats), Radiology (2 seats), and 1 seat each in Eye, ENT, Skin, Medicine, and Chest/Pulmonary Medicine.

Senior Resident against GDMO (4 Posts)

• Total Open Seats: 4 vacancies (UR-02, SC-01, OBC-01). These seats are specifically open against General Duty Medical Officer requirements.

Part-Time / Full-Time Super Specialist (1 Post)

• Total Open Seats: 1 vacancy only. This seat is reserved for the Cardiology department under the UR category.

ESIC MH Baddi Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Only candidates who meet the following education and age requirements can attend the interview for the vacant roles in ESIC MH Baddi:

1. Educational Qualification

• For Specialists: You must hold a PG Degree or a Diploma in the concerned medical specialty from a recognized university. 3 years of work experience is a must after the PG degree. If you have a Diploma, you must have 5 years of work experience. 
• For Senior Residents: You need a PG degree or diploma in the respective specialty. Candidates who don’t hold a PG degree can apply only if they have 2 years of work experience in that specific department.
• For Senior Residents (Against GDMO): You must have completed your MBBS degree or PG degree or diploma with 2 years of working experience in the respective specialty.
• For Super Specialists (Cardiology): You must have a PG qualification in your specialty and must be registered with MCI or SMC, along with a DM/M.Ch in Cardiology.

What Is the Age Limit?

Applicants must meet the following age limits as on the interview date:

• Specialist & Super Specialist Posts: Your age must be less than 69 years old.
• Senior Resident & SR against GDMO Posts: Your age must not exceed 45 years. Age relaxation is available for applicants from SC, ST, OBC, and PH categories based on the current government rules.

• Professional Indemnity Insurance Rules

Candidates selected for the Specialist or Super Specialist post must hold a professional indemnity insurance policy to cover their contract period. They have to submit a copy of this insurance policy and premium payment receipt within 7 days of starting their job. The minimum insurance amount varies based on the roles:

• INR 30 Lakhs: For Anesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neurosurgeons, Plastic Surgeons, etc.
• INR 20 Lakhs: For General Surgeons, Gynecologists, Obstetricians, etc.
• INR 10 Lakhs: For Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists, and Pulmonologists.

What Is the Selection Process? 

As we discussed above, the selection for these roles will be based on a walk-in interview at the ESIC Model Hospital in Baddi. The decision of the Interview Panel will be final on all aspects. Even if you pass the interview, you have to clear a medical fitness and document verification step to secure the job.

Documents Required to Bring for the Walk-in Interview

All applicants need to bring these documents for the walk-in interview at ESIC MH, Katha, Baddi. They need to carry both the originals and one set of self-attested photocopies on the interview day.

• 10th mark sheet or birth certificate as age proof
• MBBS Certificate
• Two recent passport-size photographs
• Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
• OBC candidates must submit the latest format. The certificate must not be more than one year old from the date of interview)
• PG Degree/Diploma Certificate/DM/M.Ch Certificate, as applicable
• SMC/MCI Registration Certificate with MS/MD/DNB qualification (for Senior Resident and Specialist posts) or DM qualification (for the Super Specialist post)
• NOC from the present employer, if applicable
• Certificates proving your past work history, if applicable
• Income and Asset Certificate for EWS category candidates.

How to Attend the Walk-In Interview

You don’t need to apply in advance for these posts. You just need to bring your original documents and completed application form and reach the venue at the reporting time on the interview day. 

• First, you have to download the application form available with the recruitment notification on the website.
• After filling out the form correctly, you need to paste a self-attested current passport-size photo on it. 
• You also have to attach self-attested copies of all the required certificates related to age, degree, and category.
• Make sure you reach the venue on September 09, 2026, between 9 AM and 11 AM.
• Carry all your original documents for verification. Those working in a government setup need to provide a NOC from their current department.

Key Points for Applicants to Note

• Selection is based on the applicant’s performance in the interview. The decision of the panel will be final. After clearing the interview, selected candidates must pass a medical fitness checkup before joining.
• Once selected, you must pay a security deposit of INR 50,000 through a Demand Draft when joining. The money will be refunded after you finish your contract period.
• Selected candidates have to sign a formal agreement on an INR 100 non-judicial stamp paper at their own cost when joining. 
• The hospital will not provide any TA and DA to attend this interview or for joining the post. 
• It is a temporary contract job, so selected candidates will not get benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Promotion, or others. 
• Hostel accommodation, quarters, and uniform will not be provided by the hospital. 
• If you stay absent from your duty for 15 days continuously without taking written permission, the hospital will treat it as voluntary abandonment of your job.
• If you have a disability of 40 percent or more, you can apply for special reservation under the PH category. You need a valid disability certificate from a government hospital to prove it.
• Those who have already finished 3 years of Senior Residency are not eligible to apply under the Senior Residency Scheme.
