HPPSC HPF&AS Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Details

You can’t apply for these roles if you are a fresh graduate. These roles are only for existing state employees.

  • Current Job: You must already be a regular employee with at least 3 years of service in the HP Government department, board, corporation, university, or state cooperative bank.
  • Education: You need a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
  • Age: You must be between 18 and 45 years old.

What Is the Selection Process?

Candidates applying for these roles need to pass the following tests to secure this job:

  • Preliminary Exam: A basic screening test to filter candidates.
  • Main Exam: A detailed, written exam for those who pass the preliminary test.
  • Training: Selected candidates must complete a training program at MSHIPA (State Institute of Public Administration).
  • Final Posting: After successfully passing all required training and tests, you will be appointed as a Section Officer.

Preliminary Exam Pattern

  • English & Hindi: Contains 40 questions in total.
  • Omnibus Accounts: Contains 40 questions total.
  • Financial Rules: Covers FRSR & HPFR 2009 with 40 questions.
  • Total Questions: The test has 120 questions.
  • Total Marks: The paper is worth 120 marks.
  • Time Limit: You get exactly 2 hours to finish.
  • Negative Marking: Penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

Main Examination Pattern

  • Paper-I: Tests English & Hindi for 150 marks.
  • Paper-II: Covers Omnibus Accounts for 150 marks.
  • Paper-III: Covers FR, SR & HP Financial Rules 2009 for 150 marks.
  • Paper Duration: Each paper lasts 3 hours.
  • Total Marks: Each of the three papers carries 150 marks.
