HPRCA JBT Recruitment 2026: Eligibility

To apply for the JBT posts released by the HPRCA on March 09, applicants need to meet one of these education requirements:

• Applicants must have passed 12th grade with 50% marks and have a 2-year diploma in elementary education (JBT or D.El.Ed.).
• Must have passed 12th grade with 45% marks and secured a 2-year diploma (D.El.Ed.).
• Must have passed 12th grade with 50% marks and a 4-year degree in elementary education (B.El.Ed.).
• Must have passed 12th grade with 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Special Education.
• Applicants must have a college degree (Graduation) and a 2-year diploma (JBT or D.El.Ed.).
• Must have a Master’s degree (Post-Graduation) with 55% marks and a 3-year combined B.Ed.-M.Ed. degree.

Educational Qualifications:

• Age Limit: 18 to 45 years as of 01-01-2026. Relaxation up to 5 years is available for candidates from specific categories. 

Other Essential Documents

• Experience certificate (only if required). 
• Reserved category students have a valid category, EWS, BPL, and Ex-Servicemen Discharge certificate.

Application Fees

The application fee for these posts for candidates from all categories is the same. Applicants need to submit INR 800 (INR 100 exam fee + INR 700 processing fee) through an approved online method. 

HPRCA JBR Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The selection for these Junior Basic Teachers posts will not only include a single interview. The HPRCA follows a clear, multi-step process to find the right candidate:

• Written Screening Test: First, there will be a 120-mark CBT test that will feature 120 MCQs. The exam duration will be 1 hour and 30 minutes. This exam will have questions on subjects, including HP GK, current affairs, science, logical reasoning, social science, Hindi, and English.
• Document Verification: If you pass the written tests, you will be called for DV, and the commission will check all your original certificates before making the final decision.

Note: Securing 45% and 40% marks are necessary for General and reserved category applicants, respectively. Based on the marks obtained in CBT, the candidates for DV will be shortlisted. Finally, based on CBT merit, eligibility, and document verification, candidates will be appointed.
