Vacancy and Salary Details 

The starting salary for selected candidates is INR 1,29,700 monthly for specific roles. In addition to this amount, they will also receive extra government benefits and allowances. 

Eligibility & Qualification Requirements

Those who are applying for these posts must have an MBBS degree registered under the National Medical Commission (NMC) or Indian Medical Council (IMC) regulations. Candidates must have a specific advanced medical degree in their speciality. 

• CTVS / Plastic Surgery / Neurosurgery: Requires a valid M.Ch. degree in the respective field.

• Neurology / Cardiology / Cardiac Anaesthesia / Gastroenterology: Requires a valid D.M. degree in the respective discipline.
• Endocrinology: Requires a D.M. in Endocrinology, OR an MD in Medicine / MD in Paediatrics, accompanied by a 2-year specialized training stint in Endocrinology.

Teaching Experience Criteria

• Minimum Duration: Only candidates with a minimum of 3 years of academic teaching experience can apply. 
• Eligible Roles: This experience must be completed as a Lecturer, Registrar, Resident, or Demonstrator following post-graduation.
• The 2 or 3 years spent pursuing a D.M. or M.Ch. program will be counted with the total teaching experience as per the recruitment rules.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following traits will be given first preference:

• Familiarity with the culture, local dialects, and traditions of Himachal Pradesh.
• Prior track record of publishing academic research papers in indexed medical journals. 

Age Limit

• Candidates must not exceed 45 years of age.
• The age limit is calculated as of January 1, 2026.
• Age relaxations may be available based on current HP state government rules.

Documents Required & Application Fee

Application Fees: INR 600 for all candidates from all categories. All the candidates must pay the application fee online using a credit or debit card, UPI, or other methods. 

Mandatory Documents

• Class 10 / Matriculation Certificate: A formal verification of your birth date.
• Medical Degrees: Passing certificates for MBBS and all PG postgraduate or super-specialty qualifications.
• Detailed marks sheets 
• Valid certificates showing the required teaching experience
• Formal caste or category certificate (if applicable)
• A valid Bonafide Himachali certificate (if applicable)
• A recently captured passport photo with a clear scan of the applicant’s signature.

• Enter your newly generated user details to enter the secure dashboard.
• Find and choose the specific Assistant Professor stream you wish to apply for.
• Carefully enter details in the online registration form.
• Attach clear, digital scans of all required documents listed.
• Pay the necessary processing fee.
• Click on the final submission and keep a hard copy of the completed registration receipt. 

Selection Process

The recruitment board will filter and assess the candidates through:

• • Initial Evaluation Stage: A screening or descriptive subject aptitude test to short-list candidates. 

• Final Evaluation Test: A personality test or formal interview rounds for the final selection.

Key Points to Note

• A screening test of 100 marks will be conducted.
• The SAT will be of 120 marks, and a Personality Test will be of 30 marks.
• Final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the SAT and the personality test.
• Minimum pass marks for General applicants are 40%, and those from Reserved categories are 30%.
