The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh) has introduced job applications for retired Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and Kanungos. Who Can Apply For This?

Check your eligibility for this job recruitment: 

• You must be a retiree from the Revenue Department of Himachal Pradesh. 
• Your work experience in the Revenue Department before retirement must be around 5 years atleast. 
• There should be no departmental or disciplinary case pending against you. It can lead to issues in your application process. 
• Your age should not be more than 65 years as of 31st October 2026.

How You Will Be Selected

• Candidates will be chosen by the appointing authority on the advice of a committee set up by the department. 
• If there are more number of applications than the posts, the preference will be given to candidates who are younger. 

How to Apply: Application Process

Candidates need to follow the steps below precisely in order to submit their application successfully.

• Once you have the form, fill it properly with accurate details and attach a passport-size photograph to it.

Terms and Conditions of Work

The authorities have set some critical terms and conditions for the work requirements.  Candidates must take a look at this before they apply: 

1. Contract Period

• The initial period of engagement for this job is 3 months. However, it can be extended depending on the performance and the needs of the department. 
• This job is purely temporary and can be ended at any time by the appointing authority. 

2. Leave and Absence

• You are entitled to one day of Casual Leave upon completion of one month of service.
• No other forms of leave can be availed of.
• Absence without prior consent of the supervisor leads to automatic termination of service, without pay for those days.

3. Pay and Benefits

• The monthly salary is determined by the performance certificate under which you receive the salary. This certificate lists all the cases and work you completed. The controlling authority issues it at the end of each month.
• You get TA/DA for official tours at the same rate as regular officers of the same post at the minimum of the pay scale.
• You will keep your medical facilities and expense reimbursement as a retiree.
• The period of re-engagement will not count towards any service benefits from your earlier service.

4. Impact on Serving Members of Staff

• Neither the promotions of serving Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, nor Kanungos will be hindered.
• The posts held by re-engaged retirees will be treated as vacant for promotion purposes.

This opportunity is highly beneficial for retired revenue officials to get back to work at a pay of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 per month. The job duration is three months, and the holidays are limited.
