Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have a post-graduate medical degree such as an MD, MS, MDS, DM, M.Ch, or DNB in the relevant specialty. 
• They must also meet the necessary teaching and research experience requirements set by the NMC for each specific tier.

Age Criteria

Upper Age Limit Criteria

• Professor (Direct Recruitment): Applicants must not be older than 58 years.
• Professor (Deputation): Applicants must not be older than 56 years.
• Professor (Contractual Retired Faculty): Senior candidates can apply up to 70 years.
• Associate / Assistant Professor: Candidates must not be older than 50 years.

Category-Wise Age Relaxation Benefits

• EWS Candidates: No age relaxation available for this category.
• SC / ST Applicants: Candidates receive a maximum age extension of 5 years.
• OBC Applicants: Candidates receive a maximum age extension of 3 years.
• Central Government Servants: Eligible employees receive an extension of 5 years.
