JSV Katrain Recruitment 2026: Post-Wise Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must carefully check the eligibility requirements for their chosen role before filling out the application forms.

1. Para Pump Operator

• You must have passed Class 10 from a recognized education board. 
• You must hold a valid ITI certificate in the trade of Electrician, Wireman, Diesel Mechanic, Pump Mechanic, Motor Mechanic, or Pump Operator-cum-Mechanic. 
• The department also accepts equivalent trade certificates issued under a Government Skill Development Scheme.

2. Para Fitter

• You must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board.
• Applicants must also have a valid ITI certificate in either the Fitter or Plumber trade. 
• Candidates holding matching certificates from a Government Skill Development Scheme can also apply.

3. Multipurpose Worker

• You must have passed Class 8 or hold an equivalent qualification from a school recognized by the State Government.
• If you are applying for the Multipurpose Worker role, you must attach your detailed Class 8 marksheet.
• If your school board did not issue a standard Class 8 mark sheet, you must provide a detailed marks certificate signed directly by your school Principal.
• Selection for Multipurpose Worker posts will be based on the marks obtained in their Class 8 exams. Higher marks will give you a better rank on the merit list.

• Minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years of age as of October 14, 2026.

JSV Katrain Recruitment 2026: Selection Process

The selection process doesn’t involve any written exam or personal interview. Here are the selection rules for the three roles:

For Para Pump Operator & Para Fitter Roles

• Academic Marks: Maximum 5 marks calculated based on your Class 10 percentage.
• Economic Status: 1 mark if you belong to a verified BPL family meeting the prescribed annual income limits.
• Work Experience: Maximum 2 marks for documented field service in JSV, HP PWD, CPWD, PSUs, or any registered outsourcing agency serving the HP Jal Shakti Vibhag (0.5 marks for every completed 6 months of service).
• Practical Round: Maximum 2 marks scored through performance in the live Skill Test and Physical Test rounds.

For Multipurpose Worker Roles

• Academic Marks: Maximum 6 marks calculated based on your Class 8 percentage.
• Work Experience: Maximum 2 marks for field service in any HP Government department, Semi-Government organization, or outsourcing agency serving the HP Jal Shakti Vibhag. (0.5 marks for every completed 6 months of service). Minimum 6 months required.
• Practical Round: Maximum 2 marks scored for successfully clearing the practical physical test tasks.

Important Selection Rules to Note

• The selection panel will thoroughly check all the work experience certificates with their issuing authorities. Any false or fake certificate will be instantly rejected.
• Candidates will not receive any TA or DA for attending the skill tests or physical test rounds. So, you must manage all travel expenses on your own.
