What Are the Eligibility Criteria?

The eligibility requirements are different for each specialty:

1. Assistant Professor (General Surgery)

• Applicants must have a recognized medical qualification as per the NMC rules.
• Must have a PG degree in General Surgery (MS General Surgery) or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience as a Lecturer, Registrar, Demonstrator, or Resident after completing the PG degree in a recognized medical college.
• Candidates with F.R.C.S. (General Surgery) from the Faculty Board of Surgery (USA) can also apply for these posts.

2. Assistant Professor (Dermatology)

• Applicants must have a recognized medical qualification as per the NMC rules.
• Must have a PG degree in Dermatology (MD Dermatology/Dermatology & Venereology) or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience as a Lecturer, Registrar, Demonstrator, or Resident after completing the postgraduate degree in a recognized medical college.
• Candidates with an MD (Medicine) with D.V.D. are also eligible.

Note: The eligibility criteria depend on the medical specialty. All applicants must have an MBBS degree along with the required MD/MS or equivalent PG qualification in the relevant specialty.
