These 21 posts are released for existing schools teaching classes 6 to 8 in Hamirpur. The contract for these jobs is for 11 months and 29 days and will end on February 28, 2027. 

What Is the Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for any posts must confirm they meet the required qualifications for the post they are applying for.

• Principal: Having a PG degree in the relevant subject with at least 4 years of teaching experience as a trained graduate or equivalent qualification.
• PGT (Hindi, English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics): A PG degree in the relevant subject with B.Ed. or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Computer Science Teacher: MCA, B.Tech (Computer Science), or a PG diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized university.
• Care Taker: Must have passed Class 12.
• Lab Assistant: Diploma in Laboratory Technology with Science in High School or Intermediate with Science.
• Office Superintendent/Clerk: Must have passed Class 12 with Computer Science or a recognized computer diploma/certificate. Candidates should also have a typing speed of 25 wpm in Hindi and 30 wpm in English.
• Full-Time Teacher (Maths/Science/English/Hindi): Trained graduate in the relevant subject with B.Ed. or an equivalent qualification, and should have studied ETT at the primary level.
• Part-Time Teacher (Art/Music/Physical Education): Graduate in the relevant field (B.P.Ed. for Physical Education).
• Part-Time Computer Teacher: Graduate with computer training.
• Accountant: Graduate in Commerce. Candidates with knowledge of office work and a DOEACC ‘O’ Level certificate or an equivalent qualification will be preferred.
• Cook and Chowkidar: Must have passed Class 8. Candidates should be physically fit and should not have any contagious disease.

What Is the Age Limit?

Age will be calculated as on 1 April 2026.

• Principal: 30 to 45 years
• All Other Posts: 25 to 45 years

Note: Age relaxation is available for applicants from the reserved category as per the State Government rules.

KGBV Hamirpur Recruitment 2026 Salary

The monthly salary of selected candidates depends on the post, like INR 30,000 for the Principal post and INR 6,433 for the Cook. The salary also includes a 13% EPF contribution from the employer. 

What Is the Selection Process?

Candidates will be selected for these posts based on their past school marks. 

• High School (10th): 10% of your total marks

• Intermediate (12th): 10% of your total marks

• Graduation: 20% of your total marks

• Post-Graduation: 20% of your total marks

• Training / B.Ed.: 30% of your total marks

Special Interview Rules

• Assistant Cook: You must pass a 50-mark interview. This checks your physical capability (20 marks), cooking skills (20 marks), and experience (10 marks).
• Chowkidar: You must pass a 50-mark interview. This checks your physical fitness (25 marks) and general knowledge (25 marks).
• Tie Breaker: If two people get the same score, the older person gets the job. If they share the same birthday, the name that comes first alphabetically gets the job.
• Waiting List: The committee will keep a backup list of 5 candidates for every open post.
• Reminder: Only women are allowed to apply for these posts.

Make self-attested photocopies of these documents:

• All schools mark sheets and degrees.
• Character certificate.
• Birth certificate (your 10th class certificate).
• Caste certificate (if you belong to a reserved category).
• Experience certificate (if you have one).
• A recent passport-size photo on the form.
• Two blank envelopes with your own home address written on them, with an INR 45 postage stamp stuck on each.
• Your Aadhaar Card number.
